The advice that we generally get from a lot of financial influencers is that: "Hey, save your money and invest". Yes, it is true. But a lot of us take it so far that we really forget the ideal reason behind saving - i.e. to spend :)
We should also get better at spending money and also seldom forget about the accumulation of our wealth. The thing that is more important is having experiences and more relationships and being okay with spending money especially when it comes to adventures and travel.
Spend energy → To earn money → Spend money → To earn experiences.
And the cycle repeats.
Spending money on travel and adventures is much more valuable than spending money on material things. Why? Because individuals create lots of precious and unforgettable moments when spending on travel, while people who spend on material items - what they can remember on their deathbeds is the memories of work. So, try to start earning experiences and building relationships. It's kind of investing in yourself which is the need of the hour.
“If you die with anything more than zero dollar in your bank account then you have done something wrong”
- Bill Perkins in his book Die with Zero
Have you wondered why the ants work so hard? So that they can joblessly enjoy winter, isn't it? No, it's actually the other way around. The ants wanted to have fun in the winter and hence they work their asses off in the summer.
Yeah, save for the rainy days but it doesn't mean that one shouldn't spend. What matters is what are you spending? Is it an unnecessary appliance? Or on a high-end flagship phone? Instead spend your money on travel, experiences, adventures.
Not all can spend on scuba or the sky diving or a Maldives trip. Traveling is not a luxury and it need not be a dream destination. Spending time with your close ones on a long car drive is totally worth it.
A fit body, a calm mind, a house full of love. These things cannot be bought - they must be earned.

You spotlighted the other(important) side of "Why one needs to earn?"
We are so materialistic nowadays that we actually tend to forget the essence of life.
Apart from satisfying our daily needs and saving money for future, one always forget to LIVE the life.
One need to spend money to experience "the wonderful & priceless experiences" of the world and travelling is one such thing.
