Unravelling what is fascinating about Web 3.0 and how to become rich with the new boom in the internet industry.

To understand what is all about Web 3.0, it is imperative that one should understand what are the earlier versions of the Web and what versions are we in at present.

So, Web 1.0 was too static web pages that you can't interact with the web pages like Blog pages or news article pages. Web 2.0 evolved dynamically and you had interactions with web pages like creating accounts and signing up for newsletters. To give an example - you create an account on Facebook and you log in and Facebook starts throwing relevant ads without your consent. So that's is Web 2.0 and we are currently in 2.0 and moving into the third.

Web 3.0 is the next iteration of the internet that focuses on decentralization. It aims to create a level of transparency, where smart contracts will control user data and transactions instead of centralized organizations. In Web 2.0 you had ads from all over and you can't really control the websites to stop throwing ads at you. But in Web 3.0 you can actually control the ads and customize them. The ultimate goal of Web 3.0 is to create more intelligent, connected, and open websites.

This is one such use-case of Web 3.0 but Web 3 is a compilation of a lot of stuff. You have the NFTs, you have the Metaverse world, you have the De-Fi (Decentralized finance) you have something called the creator economy, and finally, you have the cryptos. For instance, moving on we would have metaverse shops where we can touch and feel the product in the comfort of our home.

Companies adopting Web 3.0

In fact, a lot of companies have already adopted Web 3.0 and Facebook changing its name to Meta is one way of showing that they adopted Web 3.0 as the next emerging internet industry. Perhaps in the future, you can see a lot of Metaverse shops being opened to extend Web 3.0.

Web 3 also introduces you to a new lucrative model - the "Play to Earn" model. You can earn money while playing games. Insane right? You can buy every costume, avatar, plot of virtual land, and all other in-game accessories via NFTs. You can sell and trade these NFTs in the secondary market like OpenSea and make a shit load of money. This is already inspiring me and giving me goosebumps. There will be infinite possibilities for creating deeper-level connections in Web 3.

Still, confused about what Web 3 is capable of? Check this video out here by Anshul Rustaggi who is an IIM graduate who creates a gaming platform on Web3.

Earning money via Web 3.0

If you wanna earn free money and want to have a glimpse of what Web 3.0 is and how it actually works, you can try the Brave browser instead of using Chrome/Firefox. The Brave community created a Web browser that allows users to replace online ads with advertising from Brave's own network. So you won't be seeing ads from any other sites (including YouTube ads) whereas you can view the ads that Brave's own network provides.

Icing to the cake, you get Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) which rest on the Ethereum network for viewing ads from the Brave network as a reward. Later, you can use that to buy either stable coins like USDT or even convert them to actual cryptos like Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Also, you can tip content creators via BAT if you wish to and provided that they are verified content creators in the Brave community.
